DecoAction was founded in Dinxperlo, the Netherlands in 2007. The company was started as a hobby and was turned into a business selling gifts and home accessories.

Day by day the online store has been expanding its portfolio. Having started with about 2200 products, an assortment of home and garden products has grown up to 3000 in 2017. It was diversified by offering a line of cast iron products and modern items for the kitchen.

The biggest challenges facing the company

The first challenge was to pick up the products that are not available on every corner. Now the DecoAction is famous for unique gifts, home and garden accessories which you can buy at company site only.

Another problem they faced to, was a big problem with website functionality and performance that draw to a head in 2014. The company had a real problem with traffic. There were the checkout issues. The sales were down. It was hard to understand the primary cause of the failure.

When did Templates-Master and DecoAction become partners?

“As soon as we started work with Magento, we've discovered the Templates-Master company. That was in 2009, and the first Magento module we've tried out was a Prozoom extension. But as we worked with a dutch developer, we continued to deal with that company in those days.

However it’s the time to make a change!!!

We contacted Template-Master again. The team was ready to help. The next order was the FireCheckout module. It was great solution, that increased our sales immediately.”

We have spent a lot of time in discussing Argento theme in the end of 2015. Finally we chose a Flat design and implemented Argento in January 2016. The page load time was reduced from 4.5 seconds to 1.4 seconds.
