Argento changes for Magento
With Argento 1.8.6 release you’ve got many new features important for site performance on mobile devices. Mobile sales are expected to grow, thereby we try to adopt strategies for optimizing Argento for mobile.
New Features
- Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) extension was included in package. The module is disabled by default. If you want to optimize your Magento site for Google's mobile search, we highly recommend to enable Magento AMP plugin.
- You can also see added product image hover feature. It shows different images when visitor hovers mouse on product image in product listing. The feature really matters when it comes about usability on mobile devices.
- Argento Image Slider module comes with swiper library. Now the slider supports Touch Swipe feature, that makes it work smoothly on mobile devices.
Improvements and fixes in Argento modules
Ajax Pro comes with improved ajax update of cart related blocks and the following fixes:
- fix redirect to cart after adding product to cart when minimal order amount enabled
- fix issue with empty cart when customer logged in and persistent shopping cart enabled (cart does not have items that were added when customer was not logged in)
Ajax Search has got fixed missing layered navigation on search results page when custom collection enabled and fixed different placeholders in search field when field either has input cursor or not.
Easy Banners comes with new banner conditions and great performance improvements for stores with long-lived banners.
Easy Tabs release brings fixed issues with permissions to extension interfaces in Magento Admin; fixed issue with lost tabs after extension update. Now the module also allows inline translation of attribute group name on additional tab.
Facebook Like Button has got improved and unified extension templates and improved system configuration section. The modules uses Facebook SDK JavaScript version 2.8.
Navigation Pro brings no inline javascript, js-file deferred.
Sold Together comes with fixed js error and incorrect total price for bundle product if one of items is out of stock.
Testimonials release has got improved integration with edit review form in Magento Admin.
Argento news for Magento 2
Argento 0.9.5 release for Magento 2 is worth to be implemented because it comes with 5 amazing updates.
1. Be inspired with new Argento Pure 2 design! It can be a breath of fresh air for your ecommerce project. Now our brilliant Magento 2 theme provides you with 4 designs for you store: Argento Blank, Argento Essence, Argento Flat and Argento Pure2.
2. There are also many other design improvements that help your site look more appealing:
- Sticky header was added to Argento Flat theme
- Colorful socials icons were added.
- You can see improved accordion styles.
- The “Add to cart” button was removed from products listing on small devices.

Since 1.1.0 release the AMP theme is integrated with Fishpig_Wordpress module, that allows you to use WordPress blog on Magento site. Now AMP module also comes with rating stars display on the product listing.
The 1.0.4 release brings lots of performance optimizations. Up to 400% performance boost on specific server configurations.

Newsletter Booster 1.5.3 comes with code cleanup and fixes; fixed mail sending issues and fixed conflicts with third-party modules that use the same PHP libraries.
Sold Together 1.4.3 brings the following improvements:
- Overall styles and templates improvements.
- Load and execute JavaScript with defer attribute.
- Fixed rendering of blocks for emails. They caused empty emails in some environments.
- Compatibility with Amasty_Cart extension when Amazon style enabled. Sold Together adds all selected products but in default Magento way (no Ajax).
- Admin interfaces were improved. The product ID columns was added in Sold Together grids.
Lightbox Pro 1.2.3 release renders ‘More Views’ as separate block. Now you can move this block to any place on a page you want.
