Magento Community Edition 2.1.7 was released in May 31, 2017. It includes 1 significant functional enhancement as well as 15 security enhancements. We encourage you to deploy this new release to ensure the optimal security and performance of your Magento 2 website.

Meanwhile, let's look at the main highlights of Magento 2.1.7 release:
- Resolution of multiple high priority security issues. The Magento 2.1.7 SUPEE-9767 security patch covers the solving of critical issues such as remote code execution for authenticated admin users, access control bypass, and cross-site request forgery.
- Reversion of the changes to image resizing. Certain image resizing changes introduced unanticipated problems. These changes were reverted. So, it's expected to see improvements to image resizing in a future product update.

Taking the above into account, we have upgraded our Magento templates and extension to the latest version.
