According to GDPR rules a consent should be given by a clear affirmative act. Now you can show the opt-in checkboxes on registration page, newsletter subscription, testimonials submit form, Contact Us and product reviews page. By using consent forms, you allow visitors make affirmative actions freely, thereby improving overall customer trust to your site.

Data deletion requests

The right to be forgotten is one the important highlight of GDPR requirements. It means you have to delete users data "on request". Via the Magento GDPR plugin you can . But if you need to keep some data for a limited time, for example, you need to use VAT information for tax audits, you can cancel client’s request. The "Delete requests" option is also available.

Configuring gdpr consent settings

GDPR Magento module includes consent section that provides configuring the display of consent opt-in checkboxes. Since enabling a consent checkbox, you could also set a sort order, select the form(s) where to show a consent checkbox, and specify a checkbox label text. The module supports HTML and Magento’s WYSIWYG directives.

Configuring client's request settings

In order to process the data deletion request, you can use easy to use settings of the GDPR module. Thus the module allows setting a name for string when replacing personal client data. You can run the automate request processing with cron jobs. In the configuration you can also set a number of days to wait before the process request by cron.
