It’s Finally Here - Meet Breeze Evolution 3.0 for Magento 2

After two months in beta, Breeze Evolution 3.0 is now available as a stable release.

This update focuses on making Magento 2 theme customization easier and more predictable without adding extra frontend complexity. During the beta period, the release was tested across different stores and setups, helping refine the new editor, improve compatibility, and stabilize the overall experience.

One of the biggest additions in version 3.0 is the new built-in Live Editor. It allows store owners and developers to adjust theme styles and manage storefront content with live preview support directly from the frontend interface, reducing the amount of manual work required for everyday changes.

The release also expands theme configuration with additional CSS variables, making it easier to control styles without recompiling LESS sources. Dark mode support was improved as well, with better token handling for light and dark interfaces.

Breeze Evolution 3.0 continues the ongoing work on simplifying Magento frontend development, improving maintainability, and reducing unnecessary overhead in theme customization workflows. Upgrade guide

If you are currently using Breeze Evolution 2.x, review the upgrade guide before moving to version 3.0. The new release introduces important frontend and styling changes required to support features such as the Live Editor, expanded CSS variables, and improved dark mode handling.

Following all upgrade steps is important to keep your storefront layout, styles, and custom components working as expected after the update.

Breeze Live Theme Editor

The main feature of the new Breeze Evolution 3.x branch is the Live Theme Editor - a new approach to Magento 2 theme customization focused on reducing frontend complexity and making visual changes easier to manage.

The feature consists of two separate parts:

  • Theme Editor - a free, open-source, extensible module available for all Breeze Theme users
  • Content Builder - available in Breeze Enterprise and upcoming Argento Breeze releases

The Theme Editor allows store owners and developers to adjust theme styles using a simple interface with live preview support. Changes are applied instantly, making it easier to fine-tune storefront appearance without working directly with LESS files or static content deployment during every small update.

The module is available under Swissup > Breeze > Theme Editor.

Content Builder extends this functionality with tools for managing storefront content blocks and page layouts more efficiently. It simplifies content updates and page organization while helping maintain a more consistent shopping experience across the storefront.

The module is available under Swissup > Breeze > Content Builder  for Breeze Enterprise customers.
