Q: Dear SwissUpLabs Team, I'm currently on Magento CE 2.3.3 and have plans to upgrade to Magento CE 2.4.x. I see this extension supports Magento CE 2.3.6. or higher, so in my case shall I first upgrade from 2.3.3. to 2.3.6, then install this extension, and then upgrade to 2.4.x? Please advise. Thank you.

A: We would suggest to update to Magento 2.4 and then after composer update simply install our module using composer.

Q: I have questions on the mySQL legacy search extension. What is the sequence for implementation? The extension and then the upgrade to 2.4? Do they have to be completed at the same time? The documentation at the Github site looked like we can turn off the Elasticsearch during the implementation, but then it has commands for turning it back on. Is that needed? I'm on a shared server and I cannot implement the JDK required for Elasticsearch. Thank you, Jeff Marks

A: You can check documentation at http://docs.swissuplabs.com/m2/extensions/search-mysql-legacy/ In case you are on 2.3 then you should install our module first and then upgrade to Magento 2.4. You can always ask for support at swissuplabs.com/contacts/
